We went out to Seba Beach to this location as they were participating in the local Chamber of Commerce visitation contest. We were expecting to have a quick bite to eat at a simple golf course restaurant but were very pleasantly surprised to see a professionally decorated and organized restaurant and patio in the club house building. We were there on a Saturday when one of their specials was the English High Tea wherein it was offered at $20 instead of the standard $30 per person. It sounded like a lot of food so we went with a soup and sandwich and a plate of wings. We were enticed by the appy that was mushrooms on toast, which was truly amazing. We were very impressed overall and are planning on coming back for a supper and the High Tea. We hear the prime rib night is first class. Don't miss this place people.
Great potential and kind staff. Food is all over the place, some is good, some is not, and the same dish comes out different every time you go. Recent visit had the prime rib which was asked for medium rare, came out very well with the saltiest gravy I’ve ever had. Mac and cheese which our previous visit was good came back very different and not good. Service is also painfully slow, sometimes takes hours for a dinner. We have heard the same from most of our friends out at the lake. Although not nearly as nice Kokanee and Trestle have much better food. Won’t be back for a while.
the water and waitress are so nice and they ask if you need any thing ligit any thing i go here as a treat and my kids love it.
Well worth the drive to escape and eat a delicious meal in a beautiful environment. We have been out for family meals on their beautiful patio in the summer, Sunday brunches just for a meal out and to celebrate Mothers Day and Fathers Day, as well as dinner just the 2 of us on date night. Each occasion has been enjoyable with great service and delicious meals. I highly recommend for a meal or just drinks, coffee on the patio over looking trees and greens or in the restaurant with the lovely soft seating and cozy fireplace.
Everything we ordered was delicious. I was disappointed that I had no room for cakes as they looked sinfully tasty. Very clean place, nice decor. Great coffee! I was there with my father-in-law who can be a bit picky but the waitress charmed him with her wit and humour. We had really lovely time here!
Decided to give the Nine Iron Grill a try, as we are staying in the area and restaurants are limited. I have to say, we were blown away by the atmosphere, quality of food and service. Upon arrival, the clubhouse is clean, tidy, well polished. Refreshing to see, as our previous experience was quite the opposite at the other golf resort down the road. The staff are very friendly and professional making our date night spectacular. Beautiful established clubhouse. The head chef's creations are immaculate. Would definitely recommend this hidden gem as a go to. The food is prepared with upmost care and has a fresh vibe. Shall return
Friendly service (Jill - best hostess). Perfect Sunday brunch with all the fixings. Greens, Eggs Benedict, waffles (with strawberries and cream), turkey, chutney, fish, mac & cheese, scalloped potatoes, pastries and more. Modern decor and very reasonably priced - $20/person. Would definitely go back!
Been coming to the 9 Iron for about 4 seasons now. In the beginning, the food was really good - fresh and hot. Service was good. Last summer and this summer, we've noticed that the quality of food has been deteriorating. No consistency in quality. Some days good, some days not. Some days hot, some days cold. Items substituted without advance notice. Items not placed in order - tonight it was the meat portion. Service is slow, but we were warned of that. All in all, I don't think we'll be back next season. Trestle Creek down the road isn't too bad and Drayton is only a half hour drive.
My wife and four friends stopped in for supper last Friday night, five of us had the fish & chips, if we weren't in Alberta, I would have thought we were on the coast the Fish & Chips were just that good! Our other friend had the Clubhouse and apparently it was good as well!
