"Extremely Nice Staff!"

Although we didn't eat at the café I feel compelled to write a review. We had a "potty" emergency with a 2 year old while driving back to my grandmothers for Thanksgiving weekend. When I walked in the staff just waived me through to the bathroom without question. The bathrooms were spotless! And thank god crisis averted. We will be sure to stop for lunch next time through, dinner smelled amazing!

"Best small town restaurant!"

My mom, 2 boys and myself were on our way home from the bible camp so we decided to stop before the journey home to Saskatoon Sk. We walked in and right away got that homey feeling. The 2 girls behind the till greeted us with a smile the cook was out talking to the customers we had a great feeling. Now a days you never see the workers have a relationship with the customers (great thing) We got sat down and got our order taken in no time. Our waitress warned us she wasn't normally a waitress she was just helping for the night but she did great. Always a smile on her face, she was interacting with all the customers while taking orders, taking plates etc. After we ate (Fantastic meal) she sat down and talked to us very much enjoyed the visit. The other workers said she was the owners daughter. My mother is elderly and she couldn't believe a young girl like that would give us the time of day. The food was EXCELLENT, the customer service was supreme and we will be back. I told the young girl we will be bringing back my dad and husband for a weekend drive. The pricing was unreal you won't find a place for the amount they charge for that much food. We go to the bible camp once a year and this will be always a stop. Keep up the good work and homey feeling. Its rather rare these days to get a good feeling when you walk in that front door. Would recommend this place to anyone worth a 2.5 hr sunday drive

"Awesome Awesome Awesome"

We eat at least once a week at the Marsden Cafe ever since it opened under the current owner almost two years ago. The food is excellent; we have NEVER had any meal that wasn't extremely well prepared and served. The buffet on the last Sunday of the month is fantastic, with a mixture of Filipino and Canadian foods. Service is very efficient and all the staff are very friendly and cheerful, making it a very relaxed atmosphere and an enjoyable time.

"Very Good Food"

I have eaten here a few times now and the food is always good. The portions are large and the food is always cooked to perfection. If you are in the area I highly recommend stopping by. The price is very reasonable. The burgers are very filling and always cooked just right. And the poutine is also very enjoyable. Marsden is a small town and Marsden Cafe isnt hard to find. It is on main street next to the confectionery. Stop in and check out their food. You wont be dissapointed.

"A good find in the Saskatchewan countryside"

I'd heard that this was a good place to stop for lunch, with home cooking, and located in a little village close to the Alberta border, south of the Yellowhead highway (#16) and the town of Lloydminster. The town itself is small, has seen better days, with some empty buildings. But the cafe was lively with locals: when I was there, there were quite a few construction workers on their lunch break---so the food on the menu was hearty and filling, and with no fanciness. The staff was friendly and the portions were large. They are known for their burgers. The burger I had was exceptionally good: fine texture to the beef, with no gristle at all---melts in your mouth! The hand-formed patties were so large that they hung over the edges of the grilled, warm sesame-seed buns. Just one bad note: the server didn't bring any salad dressing with the salad. I had to ask for it. The salad is included with the main meal, or you can have fries (standard and frozen)---it's best, though, to choose the homemade soup. If you don't want a burger, there are the typical pastas, omelettes and BLTs.
